If you are interested in creating and discovering exciting new appetizers whilst enjoying the simple pleasures of eating well- this experience is for you.
We’ll start by making one of our all -time favourite dishes – Dolmades, followed by crispy Courgette Fritters, Prawn Saganaki, Twisted Cheese Pie and several more delicious delicacies with dips & sides, all of which we hope you’ll feel inspired to make at home with our step by step, easy to follow recipes.
You’ll also get to try many other lesser known, traditional Greek products, which you may like to add to your own take on the Meze Table. We’ll tell you where to find them on the Island, if they’re available outside of Greece, or give you the recipe to make your own version.
Happily, no honorable meze is complete without alcohol, it’s an intrinsic part of the Meze culture, designed to help you slow down, keep on eating and encourage the conversation to flow. We’ll be sampling Raki, Ouzo and Wines along the way, discussing what drinks go best with which dishes, (non -drinkers-we have some divine alternatives for you to try too).
All this is interspersed with stories about the Island that you won’t hear elsewhere, the history behind the roots of Meze culture and essential local information. And we actively encourage you to ask questions during the morning, to volunteer in hands on sessions and to embrace this opportunity to meet like- minded fellow travellers.
Finally we retire to our beautiful shaded garden area to enjoy the meze experience at a slower pace, to relax, to taste everything we’ve made and to share stories over a glass of wine. The perfect way to end the day, practicing what we preach.
