This is our backup class and it is indented to fit individuals whose schedule does not allow to attend our main class. Though a backup class rest assure that it has nothing to envy from our main class. The only major changes are the class date and a few dishes.

If you are interested in creating and discovering exciting new appetizers whilst enjoying the simple pleasures of eating well- this experience is for you.

We’ll start by making one of our all -time favourite dishes – Dolmades, followed by crispy Courgette Fritters, Prawn Saganaki, Twisted Cheese Pie and several more delicious delicacies with dips & sides, all of which we hope you’ll feel inspired to make at home with our step by step, easy to follow recipes.

You’ll also get to try many other lesser known, traditional Greek products, which you may like to add to your own take on the Meze Table. We’ll tell you where to find them on the Island, if they’re available outside of Greece, or give you the recipe to make your own version.

Happily, no honorable meze is complete without alcohol, it’s an intrinsic part of the Meze culture, designed to help you slow down, keep on eating and encourage the conversation to flow. We’ll be sampling Raki, Ouzo and Wines along the way, discussing what drinks go best with which dishes, (non -drinkers-we have some divine alternatives for you to try too).

All this is interspersed with stories about the Island that you won’t hear elsewhere, the history behind the roots of Meze culture and essential local information. And we actively encourage you to ask questions during the morning, to volunteer in hands on sessions and to embrace this opportunity to meet like- minded fellow travellers.

Finally we retire to our beautiful shaded garden area to enjoy the meze experience at a slower pace, to relax, to taste everything we’ve made and to share stories over a glass of wine. The perfect way to end the day, practicing what we preach.

    • A delicious recipe for filo cheese pie that can be adapted to various fillings of your choice.

    • An inspired combination of herbs and cheese that turns the humble courgette into a mouth- watering delicacy.

    • Prawns, tomatoes and feta cheese with ouzo & dill, simple and quick to make – one of our all time favorite dishes.

    • We retire to our beautiful, shaded garden area to sample the delicious food that we’ve created together over a well-deserved glass of wine.

    OMG! This place was the pinnacle of Zanlkynthos! I know super good reviews are suspicious, but I’m a tourist from Chicago and I absolutely loved it. First of all, Alex, Mandy, and the Albanian were simply a delight. The most Humble and grounded chefs I’ve ever met. They’re truly amazing. The food was delicious. The dolmades was amazing with the raisins and the zucchini fritters were heavenly. Please order the salad and drink some ouzo. The setting is also amazing as well. It is a beautiful garden setting in the back of the restaurant. It is truly amazing. Also, they offer cooking classes for groups of tourists, and I would 100% recommend them. I am just leaving the class right now and could not keep in my excitement. Our group stuffed our faces with the food that WE made. They were lovely and offered a great history of Greek food. With all my heart, I hope everyone on Zanlkynthos comes to cook at the Green Frog.
