We’ll start the day in the truly Greek way, by making ‘frappe’ (iced coffee) or Greek coffee, with everyone making their own, to get into the spirit of things.
Once the introductions are over we begin by making Stiffado- a classic Greek dish which is perfect for stress free Dinner parties– there’s a veggie option too. Our aim is to give you the enthusiasm and confidence to try our recipes and make them your own-there’ll be hands on opportunities for everyone and lots of advice about where to source the ingredients.
We will also be making Spinach & Feta Pie, Tsatsiki, Pita Bread , Saganaki -plus a there’s a master class in making Filo pastry and several other exciting, simple side dishes.
All of the above is interspersed with stories about the Island, its culture and how the Mediterranean diet has come to be what it is today. And of course there will be various mezes to sample, wine tasting and plenty of time for getting to know each other and answer questions.
Finally we retreat to our beautiful, shady garden area to enjoy all the delicious food we’ve created with a well-deserved ice cold drink – a perfect way to end this discerning experience.
