Join us on a journey into Greek cuisine, a relaxed morning, dedicated to experiencing Greek food and culture.

Every Friday we start the day in the truly Greek way with iced coffee and/or healthy mountain tea, everyone makes their own, to get into the spirit of things.

Once the introductions are over we begin by making Stiffado- an iconic Greek dish which is perfect for stress free Dinner parties .This is followed by various appetisers, including Spinach and feta pie, Dolmades, a spicy cheese dip and an unbelievably simple yet amazing salad. Followed by our delicious ‘make ahead’ Orange cake, to complete the menu.

All this is interspersed with stories about the Island, its culture and how the Mediterranean diet has come to be what it is today. There will be plenty of hands-on opportunities during the morning, different products to taste, and wines to sample – you definitely won’t leave feeling hungry.

Finally we retreat to our beautiful, shady garden area to enjoy all the delicious food we’ve created with a well-deserved ice cold drink – a perfect end to fun filled morning.

Please advise us as early as possible if you have any specific dietary requirements and we will try our upmost to cater for them.

    This class is absoluty amazing!!! It is exactly as described and was worth every penny. It was a wonderful experience cooking as a group and building our knowledge of greek cuisine. And the best bit …. you get to sit down at the end and have a feast. The hosts are superb, nothing being too much trouble. Water and various drinks are provided so you don’t need to spend any more than the set cost. I could not recommend this any more, it is truly fabulous. Thank you to all of the Green Frog staff who made it so wonderful.

    We have been coming to Zante for many years, but inexplicably never discovered the Green Frog. On our last evening in 2022 some fellow holidaymakers mentioned that they had just done a cookery class at the Frog, and that it was (in their words) “Absolutely Fabulous”. So….when we returned in Sept 2023 we joined the course.
    We had a wonderful time!
    The teaching was gentle and relaxed, with demonstration elements mixed in with hands on elements, all joined together by Alex as he joyfully walked us through a potted history of the Island, of Greek history, and the development of Greek cuisine. It was worth attending the course just for the insights from Alex!
    The emphasis of the course was clearly on fun and learning to create good, accessible food in a way which we could easily repeat at home, so don’t expect to spend time learning advanced knife skills nor technical elements of Michelin cuisine.
    Finally, we all sat and ate the food we had made, talking and laughing together – it was delicious!
    We’ve just booked a holiday for Sept 2024 in Zante, and plan to join one of the other Frog cookery courses but are struggling to decide which one….
